Harbor High standout shortstop Brendan Bobo didn’t have any offers to play college baseball at the outset of summer. Two showcases later, they were rolling to him like ground balls during fielding practice.

The Pirates’ 6-foot-3, 195-pound incoming senior received five offers from NCAA Division I programs and this week verbally committed to four-time College World Series champion Cal State-Fullerton.

“I’m very excited,” said Bobo, who announced his decision on Instagram Monday. “I’m also a little (dazed). I dreamed of this moment and it’s actually happening.”

Bobo also received offers from Cal, Oregon, Long Beach State and Cal Baptist. Fresno State, San Jose State and Sacramento State also showed interest. Read more here...
