The Eco Club will be partnering with Save Our Shores to contribute to our first annual Beach Clean Up Day!
The clean up day is on Saturday, December 7th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Scott Creek, near Davenport. We will be meeting at the concrete slab by the parking lot.
The event will happen rain or shine unless the conditions are dangerous (thunder/lightning). Students, come prepared with waivers signed by their parent or guardian if you are under 18 years of age. You can find the waivers here.
Aside from that, we always encourage folks to bring their own supplies if possible, such as reusable gardening gloves or buckets for the cleanup, bring a filled reusable water bottle, and layers. Additionally, closed toed shoes are highly recommended, as we sometimes find potentially hazardous items on the beach. There are no bathrooms available at the beach.
Remember students, if you are interested, please come to the Eco Club meeting on Tuesdays in room H14.
