Harbor Baseball's Great Season Start!

Sophomore Jackson Gifford was 4 for 4 with two doubles, a triple, and three RBIs, and the Harbor High baseball team continued its best start in a decade by beating visiting Prospect 12-9 in nonleague action Saturday.

 

Pirates junior Jakob Walz was 4 for 4 with a double, two RBIs and three runs.

Junior Brendan Bobo threw 2 1/3 innings of relief and earned the win. He gave up two hits and recorded two strikeouts.

The Pirates (7-1) — off to their best start since opening 2009 with a 8-1 — had 18 hits.

Bobo was 2 for 3 with a walk, triple, and two runs scored, junior Alex Tucker was 2 for 4 with an RBI and run scored, junior Anthony Cortese was 3 for 4 with a run and RBI, and junior Garrett Lackey was 2 for 2 with two walks and two runs.

Harbor hosts San Lorenzo Valley on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
